Hi, I’m Dr. Mary! I’m a proud dentist here at Altoona Smiles and greatly enjoy working with our team to deliver outstanding care and experiences to our patients. I grew up in Central Iowa and graduated from Collins-Maxwell which is just a short trip north of Altoona. I graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor’s in Biochemistry and Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and after that I practiced in Jackson, Wyoming before returning home to be closer to family. I live with my husband and three poodles- one standard and two toy sized- which we enjoy training and playing with. My husband and I are big Hawkeye enthusiasts and also have a passion for eclectic design and do-it-yourself home improvements. Our most recent hobby has become fitness and weight lifting which we enjoy watching ourselves grow together.
We are dedicated to serving the Altoona community by providing caring, affordable, personalized dental services. Our team is committed to creating a warm, pleasant atmosphere in which you will feel like you are among friends.

My experience at Altoona Smiles was very positive. Dr. Eric & Kaylor were thorough & pleasant. I have a great fear of dentists & they made me feel relaxed & comfortable.
I was very afraid to go to the dentist but everyone made me feel welcome and happy. I had some pretty major dental work done and Dr. Jenni and the assistant kept me calm.
